Frequently asked questions.

Does SmartSip actually filter water?

Yes! SmartSip utilizes medical stone and nonwoven PVA to filter out the harmful chemicals in your water and leave your water smooth, tasty, and with abundant minerals. Nonwoven PVA filters (the extendable part of SmartSip) remove impurities like fluoride and heavy metals from water, while medical stones trap impurities and heavy metals like lead, mercury, and arsenic in their porous surface and release beneficial minerals such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, zinc, and iron into the water.

What is the propeller for?

The propeller is a water reducer. The propeller slows down the pressure of the water, thus reducing water waste

How long can I keep my SmartSip for?

We recommend replacing your SmartSip filter after 2-3 months of frequent usage.

What are those beads?

SmartSip utilizes maifinite to filter water, which has been proven to purify water, make it softer, and add minerals. Medical stones trap impurities and heavy metals like lead, mercury, and arsenic in their porous surface and release beneficial minerals such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, zinc, and iron into the water. Medical stones can also neutralize acidic water, bringing it closer to a neutral pH.

What if SmartSip doesn’t fit my faucet?

SmartSip is adaptable to most faucets. It can fit any faucet size between 16 and 22 millimeters, which, according to industry sources, make up the large majority (99%) of all sink faucets. If your SmartSip does not fit your sink, we can offer you a refund for your undamaged product.
